🔤 Text Filters for Custom Fields

  Releases: Backend 2.90 (November 26, 2025) Web 2.88 (December 17, 2025) Mobile 2.46 (December 16, 2025) Overview Previously, SPOTIO allowed users to filter records using system fields and select custom field types, but text-type custom fields could not be used as filters. This limited visibility for teams that rely on freeform text fields to capture important context like notes, qualifiers, or internal tags. With Text Filters for Custom Fields, SPOTIO now allows admins to enable text custom fields as filterable fields. Once enabled, users can filter records across the app using flexible text-based logic, making it easier to surface, exclude, or organize records based on the text values saved in those fields. This enhancement is available to all customers and works with both existing and newly created text custom fields. Key Enhancements Admins can enable any text-type custom field as a filter from Settings → Workflow → Record Type → Fields using a new Use as Filter option. Both existing and newly created text custom fields are supported. Enabled text fields appear under More Fields in the standard Filters panel anywhere filters are available. Users can filter text fields using logic such as: Contains / Does not contain Exactly matches / Not exactly matches Is blank / Is not blank ✅ Benefit Text Filters for Custom Fields gives teams greater flexibility and control when working records. Users can now quickly narrow results based on meaningful text criteria instead of manually scanning records or relying on workarounds.
